 | What is Precious Metal Clay?
Precious Metal Clay (PMC) is composed of microscopic silver molecules, water and an organic binder. In it's raw state, PMC resembles modeling clay and can be molded, rolled, cut, stamped, folded, etc. Once a piece has been created and dried out completely, it is fired from 1110-1650 degrees Fahrenheit. During this firing time, the organic binder burns away and the remaining silver molecules fuse together. The end result is a solid metal object! It's hard to believe huh?
